Cartier is a French brand that Louis-Francois-Cartier started his workshop as a jeweler in 1847 and has a very long history in the field of watches. p>
Santos de, born in 1904 and subsequently listed as a representative Cartier watch, his Cartier is the original Santos. p>
Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont consults with Cartier's third generation Louis Jose Cartier, "I want a watch that allows me to check the time without taking my hands off the control stick when flying an airplane." I was born from being done.
The Santos Octagon is characterized by its octagonal bezel, as the name suggests, in addition to the design of each part of the airplane screw that triggered its birth.

This watch is a men's size called LM size at that time, but it is a little small size by the current standard of 29 mm without crown and 32 mm with crown. p>
It is a size that is just in the middle of being larger than the SM size of Santos Galve and smaller than the LM, and it is a size that is equivalent to the boys size in Rolex watches.
It is a size that can be used not only by men but also by women.
It may seem a little small when you look at the numbers alone, but with the octagonal shape and design, if the arm circumference is about 16 cm, it can be said that it is an appropriate size.
p>
This watch is a self-winding model that existed in the 1980s, and unlike quartz (battery-powered), one of the features is that the second hand moves little by little.
As you can see in the picture, the biggest feature is the very gorgeous one with the case and bracelet made of 18K yellow gold.
The solid gold models, including Santos Garve, are rarely seen and are valuable watches in terms of their rarity.
The hole mark is also firmly engraved on the buckle part.
The impression is that it is gold, which has a strong presence but is not too disgusting due to its small size and vintage hue.
Also, the shape and cut of the crown stone are different from the normal Santos Octagon. It has a shape with a sharp tip.
You can see the difference in the two side-by-side photos, so please have a look. p>
The
dial is a combination of a white dial, Roman indexes, blued steel hands and a classic design. The
bracelet also has a slightly angular and sharp design, with a vintage Cartier logo buckle.
Bracelets can handle up to 17 cm.
Case and bracelet have been finished with new products.
This item will be handed over after overhaul.
p>
After
overhaul, it will be guaranteed for 1 years.

About Complete Service
Complete service, sometime called overhaul is the work of disassembling a mechanical product down to its individual parts, cleaning and reassembling it to bring it closer to its new state of performance.
Roughly speaking, the overhaul procedure is as follows.
1. Separate into case and movement
2. Disassemble the movement
3. Inspection and pre-cleaning of wear condition of each part
4. Wash parts with a special machine
5. Lubrication and assembly
6. Waterproof test
7. Final adjustment and running test.
Some movements are made up of hundreds of parts, but it is a very meticulous process of disassembling them one by one, inspecting them all, cleaning them, and reassembling them.
If you don't overhaul, the oil will deteriorate just like a car, and the risk of wear and damage to parts increases, causing a decrease in accuracy and, in severe cases, not working.
There is also the reason that it will be very expensive to replace parts after they are found to be damaged, so we recommend overhauling once every 2-3 years for economical and long-term use.
About Polishing
Vintage watches have been used for decades, and even the stainless steel used in many watches has rounded corners that were originally sharp, and has many small scratches even though the mirror finish should be beautiful. state.
At Arbitro, some watches are sold with a new finish, based on the idea that you can purchase them in beautiful condition and use them for a long time.
In particular, gold-cased dress watches are finished to bring out the best of the precious metal case.
The watches sold by us that have been given a new finish are shot in very high definition, so you can see that the edges stand out and the light is reflected by the mirror finish.
Also, depending on the case or bracelet, there are cases where multiple finishes such as mirror finish and hairline finish are mixed, but there are not many craftsmen who can distinguish between them and finish them at a high level.
In addition, the “thinness of the case” is also a part that is greatly influenced by the skill of the craftsman.
A watch that has become thinner and has thinner lugs is far from its original design, and the appearance becomes unbalanced.
It is a very precise work that brings the case closer to the original finish by eliminating scratches and dents while reducing the thickness of the case to the utmost limit.
Of course, there are cases where it is better to use the watch as it is, in order to emphasize the history of the watch and its original condition.
We look at each watch and judge whether it is best to finish it before selling it.
