-Description

Ingenieur, which means "engineer" in German, is one of IWC's most iconic collections. The first Ingenieur, created in 1955, was a civilian version of the Pilot's Watch Mark XII (Mark 11).

Equipped with a self-winding movement and a soft-iron inner case, it was characterized by its extremely high resistance to magnetic fields, shocks, and water resistance. Since then, the collection has undergone several model changes and continues to this day, albeit with different designs.

This reference 3508 appeared in 1989 and was produced until around 1992. This is the previous model of Ref.3521.

The case design by Gerald Genta, the designer who created the Royal Oak and Nautilus, is simple with no crown guard, but the flowing lines of the case, lugs, and bracelet give it a very sophisticated impression.

The stainless steel and gold combination model is both sporty and elegant.

The dial is a combination of a pure white dial with gold indexes, pencil hands, and a sense of luxury.

As the name suggests, this watch places great emphasis on antimagnetic resistance, and a major feature is that the inner case has been eliminated and antimagnetic internal parts have been used as well.

The integrated bracelet is a combination of steel and gold, just like the case. The arm circumference can be adjusted up to 17 cm.

The movement is the Cal. 37590, an automatic movement based on the ETA Cal.2892-2. As mentioned earlier, the use of highly antimagnetic materials for internal parts has made it the world's strongest antimagnetic watch.

It is said that only 614 pieces of the steel model and 314 pieces of the steel and gold watch were produced in about four years.

In addition, the designer Gerald Genta has been the focus of renewed international attention in recent years, and interest in vintage Ingenieur watches has increased dramatically, making them increasingly difficult to obtain.
