-Description

Piaget is a luxury watch brand founded in La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland in 1874 by Georges Edouard Piaget.

Piaget watches are known for their beauty and fine finishing. The brand is characterized by slim cases and sophisticated designs.

It is also known as a pioneer of thin movements, introducing thin manual-winding caliber 9P in 1957 and thin automatic caliber 12P in 1960.

These were remarkably thin designs for their time, measuring only 2mm in thickness.

Piaget is also a brand of fine jewelry, and its watches are also decorated with beautiful gemstones that take advantage of this technology.

This watch is one from the Gouverneur collection from the 1990s.

Gouverneur means governor in French, but in historical terms it means provincial governor.

The collection included not only simple chronometers, but also chronographs, grande and petite sonnerie watch, and other sophisticated complications that Piaget was known for.

This watch is Reference 15958 is an automatic watch with triple calendar and moonphase display.

The case is made of 18K yellow gold. It measures 33.5 mm, which is small for a triple calendar watch, and is one of the most typical neo-vintage features.

The case is very thin, measuring only 8.5 mm thick.

The case design may be characterized by the rounded step bezel and slightly curved lugs.

The dial is a champagne gold dial with sunray finish.

The gold dot indexes around the periphery are a major feature of the dial.

The in-dials are white with a concentric circle finish.
Clockwise from the top, it indicates month, date, moonphase, and day of the week.

Another design feature is that the entire dial is one step lower than the outer circumference.

The movement is the self-winding Cal.8532.

The movement is based on the ETA Cal.2892 with a triple calendar module, and has been adjusted and finished by Piaget.

Since the base model is ETA, parts are easy to obtain, and the good point is that it is easy to maintain.

It comes with a genuine YG buckle with the Piaget mark.

There is a scratch on the sapphire glass at 11 o'clock.

It may be noticeable in close-up photos, but it is not noticeable so much when worn on the wrist.
