-Description

Vacheron Constantin is a watch brand founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1755. It is considered to be the oldest watch brand in the world that has continued uninterrupted since its inception.

Along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, it is said to be one of the three most luxurious watch brands in the world.

This watch is reference 7943 Meshdor, manufactured in the 1970s. As the name 'Meshdoll' suggests, it features a woven, integrated bracelet, which shows the craftsmanship of the Maison at its best.

The case is a barrel-shaped tonneau case made of 18K white gold, with a "bark" finish applied to the bezel and caseback. Bark means "bark" and is so called because of the similar carvings in the irregular patterns.

The bracelet is also made of the same white gold as the case, and has a design that is integrated with the case. Like the case, it has a bark finish and has a woven structure, giving you a sense of the craftsmanship.

This watch can be called a work of art, but the bracelet is very flexible and fits your wrist, so you won't feel the weight of the gold when you wear it, and it is also very practical.

The dial is a shiny blue dial with sunray finish. Although it has been around 50 years, there is almost no peeling of the paint and it is in very good condition.

The shorter bar index has four areas on the top, bottom, left and right that are thicker and have more surfaces. The hands are thin baton hands and have a very simple design in contrast to the exterior of the watch.

The movement is equipped with automatic Cal.K1120. The K1120 is a customized movement from Jaeger-LeCoultre Cal.920, which was supplied exclusively to Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe.

At Audemars Piguet, it was installed in various automatic watches as Cal.2120, including the first-generation Royal Oak reference 5402.

Introduced in 1967, it was for several decades the world's thinnest automatic mechanical movement with a central rotor. A special feature is the 21K gold rotor with ruby ball bearings.

The legendary automatic movement that remains in watch history allows the watch itself to be thin.

The sticker from when it was originally sold remains on the caseback.
So it can be said "New Old Stock" condition.

The length of the bracelet is for approximately 18cm wrist.
Only minor adjustments are possible at the buckle part, but if you would like to shorten it further, additional cutting work will be required, so please consult us.
